Clarke County Education Foundation Honors Educators Through 2025 THANK and THRIVE Drive

Berryville, VA — May 8, 2025 — The Clarke County Education Foundation (CCEF) is proud to celebrate the incredible teachers and staff of Clarke County Public Schools (CCPS) through its annual THANK and THRIVE Drive, a community-wide campaign held during National Teacher Appreciation Week.

This week, students, families, and community members recognized CCPS educators and staff with personalized letters and public recognition signs displayed at schools and throughout the county.

Each recognized teacher and staff member received a customized letter, featuring a personal message submitted by someone in the community sharing why they were chosen and how they’ve made a difference. These heartfelt tributes highlight the incredible dedication, compassion, and impact of Clarke County’s school staff.

As an extra token of appreciation, all CCPS employees also received a THANK and THRIVE Discount Card, offering exclusive deals from 12 generous local businesses, including:
Watermelon Park, Althouse Pottery, Homespun Farm to Table, Briede Vineyards, Bear Chase Brewery, Historic Rosemont, Chick-fil-A, Dunkin’ Donuts, Camino Real, Chilly Hollow Brewing Company, Winchester Book Gallery, and Cordial Coffee.

In addition, teachers and staff were treated to a special boxed lunch, generously sponsored by the Bank of Clarke Foundation. These lunches were delivered directly to each school as a delicious and thoughtful way to say “thank you” for the countless hours and energy these individuals invest in their students and community.

“Our teachers and staff are the heart of Clarke County Public Schools,” said Beth Williams, Executive Director of CCEF. “Whether it’s through handwritten notes, local business partnerships, or lunch surprises, this campaign is about celebrating their commitment and making sure they feel seen, appreciated, and supported.”

The THANK and THRIVE Drive is part of the Foundation’s ongoing mission to support Clarke County educators and students. Since its founding, CCEF has invested more than $3.4 million in local public schools through scholarships, classroom grants, and community-driven initiatives.
